Get Hard (2015)

When they say you can joke about anything, there’s a caveat to that rule: it has to be done well. Get Hard is lazily-written crude humor at some of its worst. It had the tiniest bit of self-awareness when Darnell talks about boosting the stereotypes to the max when teaching James, but that’s all we see from that. I think the story itself had potential with the whole “Darnell fakes going to prison” angle, but fails to realize it.
